TechniServe On-Site Service Program

Nationwide on-site service begins with TechniServe

TechniServe is a nationwide multi-vendor, on-site services program. It's backed by industry-leading service delivery partners with hundreds of field engineers. 

Major computer manufacturers are supported. Partnerships with national service providers allows TechniServe to cover a large variety of major computer manufacturers, including:

  • Compaq
  • IBM
  • Hewlett-Packard
  • Dell
  • Gateway

This flexible suite of professional services includes:

  • Point-of-sale warranty uplift solutions
  • Post-warranty hardware maintenance agreements
  • Hardware and software installation services
  • Professional labor services
  • Custom service solutions

Program Offerings:

  • Point-of-Sale Warranty Uplift Solutions: Warranty uplift services are offered on new equipment purchased within the last ninety days. Coverage is available on laptops through enterprise servers, and includes monitors and other peripherals. 
  • Post-warranty Hardware Maintenance Agreements: Maintenance contracts are available for equipment that is no longer eligible for the warranty uplift program. All maintenance contracts are submitted to a custom bid process that requires a minimum of 72 hours for turnaround (more if the opportunity is large). Maintenance contracts are billable in monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual increments.
  • Hardware and Software Installation Services: Installation services are available for purchase with restrictions as SKU'd items. These SKUs are for singular or multiple installations and must be within 50 miles of a provider service center to have travel included in the cost. If they are outside of this zone, they must be submitted as a custom bid. Please contact the TechniServe team to verify the end-user ZIP code.
  • Professional Labor Services:
    • Time and Materials: Service is provided on a best-effort basis, usually within 72 hours of the call being opened in the system. This is the most expensive and least effective program offering, but for those customers who choose not to use a contractual program, this service will provide non-critical coverage on desktops, printers, servers and LAN/WAN support.
    • Block Time Pre-purchase: This service provides Next-Business Day Service Levels, except in locations that are more than 50 miles from an Authorized Service Center. Block Time allows a customer to define their technical service requirements based on technician skill sets and pre-purchase for their end-user client a block of time to handle calls for service on non business-critical equipment that is not covered by a warranty or maintenance contract. While Block Time can be uplifted to a four-hour response time in some service areas, this is not a guaranteed service level, and it is not recommended for business-critical equipment.
    • Custom Services Solutions: Outside the scope of the pre-defined services listed above, TechniServe offers a custom bid desk to handle requests outside the scope of these service offerings. These items include project work, moves, LAN/WAN installation and set-up, MCSE and CNE contractual services, employee leasing, etc. Custom bid projects require a minimum of 72 hours for quoting (preferably a week on large custom bids).

Currently we do not have a service offering for Apple systems and printers. We are in search of a provider that can add that opportunity to our service offering scope.
